Once Lost I wrote this poem after reflecting on my life, and how I suppressed my belief system. I never doubted, only allowed myself to be governed by a self serving, secular mind set. I wasn't living my life with love toward others, only to my own wants. As I struggled through this stage I felt this intrinsic undercurrent pulling me back toward my religious roots. During this period I was faced with some difficult events which helped catapult me back to my faith base, and enlightened me to the wonders of Jesus Christ. I still believe that, as Christians, we are always experiencing peeks and valleys in our faith walk. There are times when our armor is strong, and we feel protected from the temptations of this world. There are other times when we feel vulnerable and sin pierces our armor and penetrates our existence. This is a difficult world we reside in, but we have to remember that Christ will never forsake us, and only through His strength can we stand against the enemies of our faith. Once Lost The void is ever present Conflict resides within me Daily, I struggle to clear my minds eye Intrinsic knowledge resides within me I know it's present Always reaching for the next level And then, one day of ordinary significance Time slows for me to bask in His glory My life forever changed by this event Website by ITapestry | Affiliate Disclosure | Privacy Policy |
