I cannot take credit for the subject material on this page. A very gifted and talented photographer carefully chose these subjects, and framed them into a beautiful composition. I merely rendered these in my own medium. As a portrait artist I am constantly challenged to establish likeness, proper facial anatomy, accurate expression, correct tone, and value. So, while emotionally stirring, they also serve as a wonderful exercise to flex my artistic muscles.

However, when I stop to reflect on these pictures I am reminded of the vastness of our world population and recall how many of our global neighbors are experiencing strife within their country. I plan to add to this gallery and hope that my drawings will heighten your awareness to the needs of others, and serve as a platform to action.
