Architectural Gallery

I have always had an affinity toward architecture. In fact, at one time I considered pursuing a career in the field. Only one thing held me back, math. I believe my love of buildings started in my childhood. I had the privilege of living in a 1926 Tudor style home in a community of uniquely diverse houses. Something foreign to many of our contemporary builders who clone neighborhoods in an effort to maximize their profit.

It is the older style that is so well crafted that draws my attention. There was a time when people poured their hearts into creating something beautiful. You see this in the exquisite detail found in many older structures. There was an artistry to their craft and their attention detail was astounding.

I am beginning to revisit my love while attempting to master a medium which truthfully captures their elegance and beauty. I don't know if I will do my subject justice, but the journey will be fun.
